This Privacy Policy explains how Fexi(“the app”, “we”, “us”), a currency converter published by 0x Code Limited, handles information when you use the app and this website (fexi.app).
The short version
- Fexi has no user accounts and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, or any personal profile to use the app.
- Fexi runs no backend server of its own and does not collect or store your data on a server we control.
- Your settings and pinned currencies stay on your device.
- Ads are shown by Google AdMob and are only personalized after you agreeto tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- A one-time $4.99 one-time unlock is processed through the App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat — we never see your card details.
Information we do and don't collect
Data stored on your device
Your preferences — such as base currency, pinned currencies, and the most recently fetched exchange rates (cached so the app works offline) — are stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to us and is removed when you delete the app.
Data we collect ourselves
None. Fexi has no accounts and no first-party backend, so we do not collect, receive, or store personal information about you on our own servers.
Advertising and tracking (AdMob & ATT)
The free version of Fexi displays ads through Google AdMob. On iOS, before any tracking-based (personalized) advertising occurs, Fexi shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt and honors your choice:
- If you allow tracking, AdMob may use your device advertising identifier to show more relevant ads and measure ad performance.
- If you decline (or on devices without the prompt), Fexi requests non-personalized ads, which rely on contextual signals rather than tracking your activity across apps.
AdMob is operated by Google and processes data under Google's own policies. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services. Purchasing the $4.99 one-time unlock removes ads.
Purchases (the $4.99 one-time unlock)
Fexi offers a single, optional one-time purchase that unlocks the full app forever. Payments are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never receive or store your payment card details. Purchase status is managed with RevenueCat, which assigns a randomly generated app-user identifier to sync your entitlement across your devices. This identifier is not linked to a personal account.
Exchange rate data (Frankfurter & CoinGecko)
To show up-to-date rates, Fexi fetches published reference data from two third-party providers:
- Fiat currencies — daily reference rates from Frankfurter (https://api.frankfurter.dev).
- Cryptocurrencies (a Pro feature) — market prices for the top coins by market capitalization from CoinGecko.
These requests ask only for currency and coin rate data and do not include any personal information about you. Standard network information (such as your IP address) is visible to those providers as with any internet request.
This website's analytics
The fexi.app website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic. Analytics cookies load only if you accept them in our cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set. IP addresses are anonymized. This applies to the website only — the mobile app does not use Google Analytics.
Children's privacy
Fexi is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Change your tracking preference any time in your device's Settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
- Reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.
- Remove all locally stored data by deleting the app.
- Decline cookies on this website to prevent analytics from loading.
